BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Start with prayer. Ask God to lead you to a Person of Peace—someone who is open to talking about spiritual topics, willing to listen, and connected to others.
Some people will say no—and that’s okay. Your role isn’t to force results. It’s to faithfully take the next step.

THE GOOD NEWS STUDY
Once you’ve identified a Person of Peace, and you’ve begun some spiritual discussions, invite them to a short Bible study.

You might say:
-
“Would you be open to a short Bible study about Jesus?”
-
“Want to grab coffee? I’d love to share why I believe in Jesus.”
-
“Have you ever wondered why Jesus died on the cross?”
Keep it simple. Bring your Bible and the study guide—no need to memorize anything.

WAY OF DISCIPLESHIP
If they’re open, begin a deeper, multi-week study exploring:
-
God’s character
-
Our need for a Savior
-
Jesus’ sacrifice
-
Repentance
-
Baptism
There are two options for this study. Either version typically takes 7–8 weeks, but flexibility is okay.
Curriculum Book
-
Best for one-on-one studies
-
More depth, context, and leader’s notes
Discovery Bible Study Card
-
Best for group discussions
-
Simplified format (like the Good News Study)
CELEBRATE NEW LIFE
BAPTISM ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE
Baptism is a deeply personal decision. Our goal is to help people make an informed, faith-filled response to Jesus.
Provide space for questions, conversation, and clarity.
If you’ve never baptized anyone before, check out this helpful Instruction Guide.
TRAIN THE NEW DISCIPLE
GROWING AS A DISCIPLE
After baptism, walk with new believers as they develop daily habits of prayer and Bible study through the Growing as a Disciple devotional.

This 10-week, daily journal guides them through a simple rhythm each day: writing a prayer, reading a passage of God’s Word, and answering questions that help with understanding, application, and sharing their faith. It also provides space to write down questions, creating natural opportunities for ongoing conversation and guidance as they continue to grow in their faith.

As they mature, equip them to start following the Action Plan by leading their own Good News Study—multiplying the work God has started in them. Following Jesus isn’t just about personal growth; it’s about living on mission. When new believers take steps to share their faith and walk with others, they begin to personally experience the joy and purpose of disciple-making.
